“Initially, I never thought about, you know, raising a family in Cameroon. But after staying here, I realized that if we can get a place in Cameroon, it will be a lot cheaper,” Kobe tells the cameras. “But (it’s) not just about money and what we have, it’s about investing in our children. If they grow up in Cameroon at this stage, even for a year or two, (it) will really help the children understand the culture of Cameroon and I just hope she can see that with me.”
Emily tells Kobe that she loves his culture, but also that her children are very lucky to grow up in America. She also notes that if they live in Cameroon for just a year or two while their children are still young, they will simply forget about it. But Kobe disagrees.
