The leaders of the left-wing New Popular Front and Macron’s centrist alliance made clear last night, Sunday, that they would withdraw their own candidates in districts where another candidate was better placed to defeat the RN.
“LFI (La France Insoumise) is a danger to the nation,” Le Maire told French radio station France Inter, adding that while he encouraged voters to choose candidates from other left-wing parties in areas where the centrist candidate had withdrawn from the battle electoral campaign, and will “never” appeal to voters to vote for the LFI.
