Kevin Costner proved himself to be an honest guy during an intimate scene in his new movie… because his co-star says he brought a sensitive nature to filming the dirty, groovy movie.
Lee Abbey – who stars in Costner’s new film “Horizon” – spoke about going all the way with Kevin on screen in an interview with People …and she says the veteran actor brought a lot of sensitivity to the interaction.
Lee says Costner was aware of how scary sex scenes can be… adding that he wanted to make sure she felt comfortable while they filmed it — and sat down for an extra-long chat about all the beats of the scene before they started shooting.
Costner made it clear to her that there would be no nudity in the scene, she explains… adding the full conversation made her feel a little more comfortable when they filmed it.
That said, Abbey admits there’s always a slight sense of discomfort in these intimate scenes… especially since the crew has to watch this fake, private moment. It just feels super awkward in her eyes.
The new film debuted this weekend, in fact… and the reaction has been lackluster, to say the least. It grossed just US$11 million at the box office and has a 40% share Rotten tomatoes — so an unstable opening on both counts.
In short… Kevin Costner is always looking out for his fellow actors — especially when they need to get closer and closer.
