Pride Month is almost over, but some celebrities are still finding ways to celebrate… with one former late-night host leaving before June turns to July!
Amber Ruffin — a writer for “Late Night with Seth Meyers” who hosts her own show “The Amber Ruffin Show” on Peacock — came out in an Instagram post on Sunday, in a move she said will shock no one.
Alongside a photo of her in a tank top with the word “Queer,” she added the caption, “I’m using the last day of PRIDE to come out! Be proud of who you are, little babies! I know I am! And I can’t wait to be discriminated against for a new reason!!”
She shared several other photos as well, all seemingly with the same intention behind them… Amber is speaking out loud and proud – and right under the ropes for Pride 2024!
As you can imagine, she’s getting a lot of support in the comments from fans and famous friends…including the “Wicked” star. Cynthia Erivo who welcomed her into the gay community with open arms with a sweet and funny comment.
Sofia Bush, Faye Dunaway“Queer Eye” star Tan France and many other notable names have shouted out Ruffin…so she’s got Hollywood heavyweights showing her love.
Ruffin performed her self-titled show from 2020 until its cancellation in 2022. She was married to Dutch painter Jan Schiltmeijer for over a decade, although the two divorced last year.
Either way, it looks like Amber is ending Pride in style… and the H’Wood gay community has her back.
