The situation remains difficult in fire in Chiosas stated by the Fire Department press representative, fire chief Vassilis Vathrakogiannis, in an emergency briefing.

As Vathrakogiannis pointed out, the forces on the island will be further reinforced with 15 firefighters and 2 vehicles that will be transported by ferry from Rhodes.
A message was recently sent from 112, inviting those in the Kardamena area to move away towards Antimachia.

Two messages 112 in Crete
For fire in the Katofygi area of Heraklion, Crete that burst through the undergrowth were emitted two messages from 112. Tthe first message called on residents to remain alert due to the ongoing fire, while the second, sent a short time ago, called on residents of Katofygi and Xeniako of Crete to evacuate to Ebarou Square. The fires at Distomo in Boeotia, Zakynthos, Heraklion in Crete and Agios Elissaios in Laconia do not have an active front.
