At least four people were killed and several others injured in an explosion caused by a gas cylinder at a restaurant in Turkey’s western Izmir province, local authorities said.
Some of the injured are hospitalized in serious condition, Izmir provincial governor Suleyman Elban said.
10 seriously injured
The mayor of the city of Torbali, where the explosion occurred, told the private television network NTV that the number of injured was 20, of which 10 were seriously injured.
Images broadcast by Turkish television channels show the facades of several buildings heavily damaged by the explosion.
