After Switzerland, Germany became the second team to secure a ticket to the Euro2024 quarter-finals.
The tournament hosts beat Denmark 2-0 in a game that was interrupted for much of the first half by heavy rain.
In the first half the game was divided.
The Germans missed two big chances with Havertz, while the Scandinavians missed two, with Hoylund being the fatal player.
In the second half, “Nacionalmansaft” opened the scoring in the 53rd minute with a well-placed penalty by Havertz.
The same player wasted a great opportunity a few minutes later, but Musiala finally finished the job in the 68th minute after a great pass from Sloterbeck.
The remaining minutes were procedural in nature, with Germany advancing to the quarter-finals thanks to an excellent second half.
