Thurston says she can’t go into specific details, but explains that she called 911 to report the incident… and a police officer took her for a sexual assault forensic exam.
Katie says she felt “a little touchy” throughout… and credits her nurse and advocate for helping her through the exam.
Thurston says the package took four months to process…during that time she saw a therapist and read more about how to navigate conversations with detectives as they analyzed her claims.
KT says she has handed over everything to investigators — text messages, cellphone name information, DNA, videos and her own body — but she says her quest for justice has not been directly interrupted. She doesn’t make clear what she means by that.
