Cory Hardrict Shares His Emotional Struggles After Divorce
Cory got candid about his emotions following his divorce at the American Black Film Festival earlier this month. According to EssenceHardrict spoke on a panel when the topic came up. A clip shared by Hollywood Melanin on Instagram shows the actor dressed in a burnt orange suit on stage.
“It’s hard when it feels like you’re going through something alone and no one understands, and no one is there for you,” Cory Hardrict said. “It was a year and a half of crying myself to sleep every night.”
Additionally, Cory shared that his loved ones can testify that his “children and family were everything” to him. So after more than a decade of marriage and nearly two as a couple, Hardrict hinted that the post-split period was painful for him. However, it apparently showed him that he is “stronger than he thought he was.”
“By the grace of God, I am here and I will be,” the actor added.

Here’s what Tia Mowry previously shared about the split
Please note that Cory Hardrict previously revealed that cheating was not a factor. And in June 2023, Tia Mowry gave additional context as to why she filed for divorce.
She told Hello Beautiful that she had been considering a split for about five years. Despite loving the role of wife, Mowry shared that tradition didn’t allow for the “constant” nature of change.
“I love being a wife. But I’m understanding that tradition can be a blessing and a curse. What I mean by this is that tradition does not guarantee any change, while change is constant,” Mowry shared.
After a few deaths in her family, she went to therapy and began to question her peace and happiness. In the end, she decided that choosing herself was what was best for her, Cree, and Cairo.
“Part of my decision was for them too. For them to see their mother walk in the truth. I feel like it’s a big lesson for them because it wasn’t an easy decision. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my entire life.”
More recently, former ‘Bachelorette’ star Rechel Lindsey spoke candidly about the advice Tia shared with her during her own divorce.
