Carol Connors — the legendary songwriter — is telling all about her fame… detailing it all in a new book and accompanying documentary.
Connors — who has rubbed shoulders with some of Hollywood’s brightest stars — recently released her new book “Elvis, ‘Rocky’ & Me” … and TMZ can reveal she also has a documentary about her under the same title.
CC — who rose to fame with her hit track “To Know Him Is To Love Him,” written by infamous music producer Phil Spector – will reinforce the revelations in his book and tell his full story on camera.
Connors will talk about living together with Elvis Presley for over a year after he wanted to meet her following the success of ‘To Know Him’… and she’ll also talk about how she wrote “You Loved My Night Away” the same night he died.
Carol also has stories about Spector… including a tense interaction in which she claims Phil threw her against a wall and threatened to kill her if she messed up his song.
But no profile of Connors would be complete without delving into how she wrote the lyrics to “Gonna Fly Now” – the ‘Rocky’ theme song that’s been around for generations.
In her career, Carol secured two Oscar nominations, three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nominations – although she never managed to take one home. She also has stories about Steve McQueen It is O.J. Simpson … at whose trial she testified.
The documentary “Elvis, Rocky’ & Me” is currently in pre-production and will be released later this year — and it looks like there’s no limit to the stories Carol will tell.
