Nicola Peltz-Beckham advocated after the premature death of her beloved chihuahua Nala… and is prepared to take full action against those allegedly responsible.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ… Nicola has hired a legal team and plans to go after the grooming company located in upstate New York that worked with her pup at a home where she was staying before Nala experienced a medical emergency which became fatal.

We’re told Nala had a check-up with her longtime vet before the trip in New York and was found to be fit and healthy… which is why her sudden passing was so shocking to Nicola.
Sources say that Nicola and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, I have been a customer of the grooming company with no previous problems… occasionally using this groomer while in town with family.
However, this time, there were several warning signs…several of her dogs acted strangely after the groomer’s services on June 14th. We were told the dogs were dropped off one by one as the handler’s van was parked near the property. Sources say Nala was returned last and was in poor condition.
While Nala was gasping for air and had a blue tongue, Nicola rushed the chihuahua to an emergency vet… where she died a few hours later. We’re told that veterinary records show Nala had fluid in her lungs, a crazy heart rate, and neurological issues before she passed away.
As Nala had no underlying health problems, there was no reason for her to die after a simple preparation… which is why Nicola is taking legal action. The actress’ legal revenge has nothing to do with money… on the contrary, she wants to avoid a similar tragedy.

Nicola – a staunch animal rights activist – wants answers about Nala’s time with the keeper, but we’re told there were no cameras in the treatment van… raising questions about what happened inside.
Sources tell us the handler is no longer cooperating with Nicola’s legal team.
We reached out to the zookeeper for comment…so far, no response.
