The statements were made on the sidelines of an EU-Egypt investment conference in Cairo, where he also held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
“At this conference, European companies are signing more than 20 new agreements or memoranda of understanding with Egyptian partners, worth more than 40 billion euros. We have companies in sectors ranging from hydrogen to water management, from construction to chemicals, from shipping to aviation and automotive,” he said.
