It’s Fulfillment Month and many celebrities are opening up about being part of the LGBTQIA+ group. For many, this means sharing how they have fully embraced their bisexual identity. While some bisexual people feel they have been “erased” by the general public who misunderstood them, celebrities like Halsey It is Evan Rachel Wood spoke out to give voice to others in their group. By sharing their thoughts and feelings about being bisexual, they hope to see more role models for people like them.

1. Maren Morris
Star of the nation Maren Morris is probably one of the most recent celebrities to come out as bisexual. Maren, who has been a longtime LGBTQ+ supporter, opened up about her sexuality on Instagram in honor of Fulfillment Month.
“happy to be the B in LGBTQ+, joy, joy 🌈,” Maren captioned a sequence of photos, including one in which she can be seen holding a Satisfaction flag on stage.
2. Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore has been open about her sexuality since the beginning of her profession. In the early 2000s, Drew confirmed that she recognized herself as bisexual, explaining that she loved being romantically involved with women as well as men.
“Do I like girls sexually? Yes, I do. Completely. I’ve always thought of myself as bisexual,” Drew reportedly told New Girl magazine in 2003. “I like the physicality of a woman. I believe that a woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful. Being with a woman is like exploring your own body, but for someone else.”
3. Megan Fox
Again in 2008, Megan Fox opened up about her sexuality to GQ, explaining that she had pursued relationships with girls and that she would “find herself in a relationship with a lady” sooner or later. While she noted that she was not a lesbian, she considered herself part of the LGBTQ+ group.
“Look, I’m not a lesbian. I simply assume that all people are born with the flexibility to be attracted to both sexes. I mean, I can see myself in a relationship with a woman – Olivia Wilde is so attractive that it makes me want to strangle a mountain steer with my bare fingers. She is mesmerizing,” Megan advised the outlet.
Although she did not affirm her sexuality at that time, in 2021 she wrote on Instagram: “Putting the B in #LGBTQIA for over 20 years.”
4. Gaga Woman
Woman Gaga is a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ+ group and throughout her career, she has been open about her sexuality. After the release of her song “Poker Face”, Gaga defined that the lyrics were about being with one person, but fantasizing about a girl. Then, during a live performance in 2013, she confirmed that she was bisexual.
“What do you recognize? It’s not a lie that I’m bisexual and I like girls, and anyone who wants to twist that into ‘she says she’s bisexual for propaganda’ is bullshitting. It’s who I am and who I’ve always been,” she advised her followers.
5. Cardi B
Cardi B shared that she is bisexual at many events, and after being accused of queer-baiting by the media, she spoke out about her sexual identity on X (formerly Twitter).
“I’m married to a man, but I’ve talked a lot about my bisexuality and my experiences with women. ‘Queer baiting’ is the new expression and people use it to the hilt!” she he wrote.
When a follower later accused Cardi of being bisexual but never dating women, she applauded again, writing“I was fucking bitches before you were born… Sorry, I don’t have any razr phone pics to show you.”
6. Halsey
Halsey has been open about discovering she is bisexual since the beginning of her career, but she says it hasn’t always been simple to talk about her sexuality. Looking back at a speech at the 2018 GLAAD Media Awards, Halsey shared that she didn’t used to feel like her identity was legitimate.
“I’m a young, bisexual girl, and I’ve spent a lot of my life trying to validate myself — to my friends, to my family, to myself — trying to show that who I like and how I really feel are not a part; they’re not part of some mess that’s going to change or can be manipulated,” she shared.
7. Lili Reinhart
In 2020, Lili Reinhart She has publicly come out as bisexual — although privately she has long been open about her sexuality. Lili explained that she was inspired to come out after attending a Black Lives Matter protest, despite being anxious about what the media would say.
“I felt that since I was completely in heteronormative relationships, it would be too easy for anyone on the outside, especially the media, to vilify me and accuse me of ‘faking it’ to get attention. That’s not something I wanted to deal with,” Lili told Flaunt. “But to my close friends and people in my life, my bisexuality is no secret.”
8. Rita Ora
After Rita Ora released her track “Ladies”, she faced some backlash from the LGBTQ+ group, which led her to reveal that she is bisexual and that the song was mainly based on her own real experiences.
“Women was written to express my truth and is an accurate account of a very real and credible experience in my life,” Rita wrote on social media. “I have had romantic relationships with both men and women throughout my life and this is my personal journey.”
9. Amber Heard
Amber Heard says she was never in the closet about her bisexuality, but it wasn’t until she told a reporter that her partner was a woman that the public started talking about her sexuality. While she admits it was “not easy” to suddenly be identified for her sexuality, she didn’t let it affect her career and continued to land roles.
“When I hear people comment on me showing up, I think it’s funny because I was never home,” Amber said at The Economist’s 2017 Satisfaction & Prejudice Summit. “I was always out. I was an activist. I went to protests. I refused to not bring my partner at the time, but no one ever asked me about it.”
10. Sara Ramirez
In 2016, Sara Ramirez publicly came out as bisexual while speaking at the 40 to None Summit, where they were discussing youth experiencing homelessness. During the conversation, Sara explained why they felt such a connection and a desire to help these children.
“Therefore, many of our young people who live on the streets are young people whose lives touch at many intersections – be they gender identity, gender expression, race, class”, said Sara at the time.
They continued: “And because of the intersections that exist in my own life: girl, multiracial girl, girl of color, queer, bisexual, Mexican-Irish-American, immigrant, and raised by families strongly rooted in Catholicism on both sides of my Mexican and Irish, I am deeply involved in projects that allow our young people’s voices to be heard and that help them to proudly own their own complex narratives so that we can present them in the way they want us to.”
11. Shay Mitchell
Shay Mitchell Shay has hinted at her sexuality over the years, but she seemingly came out as bisexual in a TikTok she posted in 2022. In a duet, Shay responded to a video in which a woman asked, “When you define yourself as bisexual, do you have a green velvet couch?” In the brief clip, Shay can be seen falling backwards onto a green velvet couch in her home. Shay didn’t caption the video, but her followers in the comments seemed to get the message loud and clear.
12. Cynthia Erivo
In 2022, Cynthia Erivo came out as bisexual for the first time in an interview with Vogue, saying it took her a long time to open up about her sexuality. When she later came out, she explained that as a child she knew “something was different” but didn’t know what to call it.
“I don’t think I had the language to even know what was going on. It’s come much later for me now and it’s fantastic to just be me, actually,” she mentioned in Kelly Clarkson’s Gift. “I think it was a creative space to just let go of everything I was hiding. I assume you don’t realize you’re doing this, putting a lot of energy behind it. Since you’re taking the energy out of hiding something that’s so much a part of you that you can’t hide it, you can put it somewhere else and create more fantastic things.
13. Thandiwe Newton
Thandiwe Newton says she fell in love with her best friend when she was a teenager, and although she is now married to a man, she believes she may have also fallen in love with a woman.
“I believe that falling in love is definitely more about falling in love with a person. We are all, without a doubt, bisexual; This is all determined by your circle, your upbringing and all sorts of issues. Or possibly I’m just talking about myself. I may have just fallen in love with a woman instead of a person,” she told The Advocate.
14. Evan Rachel of Wood
Evan Rachel Wooden came out as bisexual in 2012 and ended up suffering a negative reaction from the general public. While looking back on how she felt after coming out, Evan shared that she felt bisexual people were often misunderstood, belittled, and “erased” — even from the LGBTQ+ group.
“I think because we’re usually erased, people just don’t have the information. There are so many negative connotations with that label,” Evan told Time. “It’s so complicated, especially when there’s not a lot of information out there… Erasure is hurting people, diminishing vanity and putting people in danger. It’s a real desire. I would like people to know that it’s okay, (bisexuality) is legitimate and that their stories matter.”
15. Auli’i Cravalho
In Auli’i CravalhoIn her first TikTok ever, she came out as bisexual. Wanting it again, she says she didn’t really intend for it to be a highlight video, as she had already come out to most of her associates. Although she wasn’t sure how the public would receive the video, she said she was pleased with everyone’s constructive reactions.
“I arrived here on TikTok. The funniest part for me was that I had girlfriends in high school. I think women are great, but I don’t think it was necessary to come out,” she told Leisure Weekly, later adding, “The fans are too happy to just accept another gay man.”
16. Vanessa Carlton
Vanessa Carlos remained quite private about her sexuality, however, while performing in a beauty pageant in Nashville in 2010, she revealed that she was bisexual in front of a crowd of more than 18,000 people.
“I’ve never mentioned this before, but I’m a proud bisexual woman,” Vanessa said on stage.
17. Aubrey Square
In 2016, Aubrey Square opened up about her sexuality while talking about being assaulted by other women. Aubrey explained that she didn’t really care and had actually fallen in love with women in the past.
“I know I have an androgynous factor going on and there is something masculine about my energy,” said Aubrey The lawyer. “Women like me — that’s no secret. Hey, I like them too. I fall in love with women and men. I can not avoid.”
