Donald Trump deeply defeated Joe Biden in Thursday’s presidential debate in Georgia — and as a result, the current commander and chief is expected to end his 2024 campaign for the White House… according to multiple polls.
After the question-and-answer session between Trump and Biden on stage in Atlanta, CNN conducted a quick poll of people who watched the debate and the numbers were clear: Trump fared much better than Biden, with 67% to 33% approval rating among viewers.
Republicans generally agreed, putting that number even higher at 96%, while believing that their candidate, former President Trump, is the right man for the hardest job in the world. Among Democrats, 69% thought Biden won.
The key number: 57% of debate watchers said they had no confidence in Biden’s ability to lead the country. As for Trump, 44% say they lack confidence.

Worse still, only 53% of debate watchers from Biden’s own party gave Joe credit for addressing the concerns of the American people. In contrast, 85% of Republican debate watchers gave Trump a thumbs up when it came to addressing issues that impact voters.
CNN’s poll also found that 81 percent of registered voters who watched the debate said it had zero impact on their choice for president. Fourteen percent of those registered voters said the debate made them rethink their choice, but they ultimately stuck with their original candidate. Only 5 percent of those surveyed said they changed their minds and would vote for a different nominee.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail conducted its own survey of independent voters. A whopping 62% of the 805 independents polled thought Biden should drop out of the race. The poll also found that Trump crushed Biden in the debate by a margin of 68 to 32 percent.
There is panic in the Democratic Party, where some leaders are trying to figure out how to convince Biden to pass the baton.
