Tori spelling There’s more than TV dinners in your freezer. The 51-year-old man Beverly Hills, 90210 actress and mother of five shared on Friday’s episode of her orthographic error podcast that stores some non-food items in your kitchen.
Spelling revealed that the strangest thing she has on the ice is her placenta. “I’m not sure which child, there are two in there, so unless I have the biggest placenta in the world, there are two vats in there,” she joked.
Spelling, who shares Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7, with her ex Dean McDermottdefended the decision, saying: “It’s supposed to be good. It’s something that’s good for your body and they take it out of your body and it feels good to put it back in your body.”
Spelling’s longtime manager Ruthanne Secunda asked, “It probably doesn’t keep in the freezer for very long. How long has it been in there?”
Spelling admitted she wasn’t sure which placentas were in the freezer, saying she would check. But she also revealed it wasn’t the placenta of her youngest son, 7-year-old Beau McDermott.
“I’m sorry for my best friend, Jess, because (Beau) is still in the freezer. Do you want to talk to good friends?” Spelling reflected, saying he asked Jess to take the placenta home from the hospital.
“I feel like she’s asked me a few times over the last seven years to take it back and I’ve said, ‘Yeah, next time I’ll be there!’ And then I won’t. I will one day,” Spelling insisted.
The daughter of late TV mogul Aaron Spelling and Candy Spelling said she ended up not saving all of her five children’s placentas due to the family’s relocation in recent years.
“We move around a lot, so unfortunately a couple got lost,” Spelling said, before joking, “Imagine this guys, they got lost or left in a rental. Imagine you open a freezer and it’s Tori Spelling’s placenta. It would be interesting to put it on eBay.”
Spelling also revealed that she and McDermott ate her placenta once.
“One time, my ex — I was on board — we cooked the placenta and ate it,” she said. “Dean is an amazing chef, so, I mean… He cooked it and seasoned it and it was really, really good.”
Spelling filed for divorce from McDermott earlier this year after 18 years of marriage. The actress has since opened up about the split and her family on the podcast, which she shared does not move his five children.
“My kids are like, ‘Ugh, Mom, stop exposing us and talking about us.’ And I was like, ‘It’s kind of our day job, I don’t know what to tell you,'” the single mom shared on her podcast in May. “My kids grew up on TV.”
