The outgoing Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Ruth gave himself a mediocre grade Thursday for his 14 years in office.
“A 6, maybe a 6.5,” he declared, when asked to rate himself.
“A satisfactory (grade) but not very generous,” he said.
Rutte leaves behind the title of politician and is invited to serve as Secretary General of NATO in early October.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the US President Joe Biden asked him to join the race to lead the military alliance in early 2023, following Rutte after a visit to the White House.
“A few days later (Biden) called and said that the current NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg was leaving, we think you should do this,” Rutte said.
But the collapse of his coalition government in July 2023 over a dispute over immigration policy prompted Rutte to “rethink”, he said.
