“Tranquility on the border will not be restored without a war with Hezbollah”
Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir he responded by saying that calm on the border would not be restored without a war with Hezbollah.
“Haven’t we learned anything from the last 20 years of (diplomatic) agreements? Within a year or two, they will rape our women and murder our children,” Gvir said in comments leaked to several Jewish media outlets.
Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer he then pointed out that Even if Israel goes to war, it will eventually end with some kind of diplomatic agreement.
Ben Gvir replied that an agreement with Hezbollah is not necessary because Israel will defeat the terrorist group.
Netanyahu: Conditional diplomatic agreement preferred option
The Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intervened, arguing that a diplomatic agreement on the right terms is Israel’s preferred option.
Ben Gvir counterattacked by commenting that “An agreement with Hezbollah will lead to a new October 7th. You can’t make a deal with the Nazis”
