Comedy icon Martin Short first created his pompous talk show parody Jiminy Glick for Comedy Central in 2001, bringing him back to interview/roast celebrities while serving as host on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Stay.’
It’s already a deal to have the legendary Brief Martin filling for Jimmy Kimmel This week, however, that deal turned into a big laugh when Brief revived his pompous, inept, donut-stuffed Jiminy Glick for the Trash Hader Invoice It is Sean Hayes.
The Glick schtick was born as the star of his own show for Comedy Central in 2001. Primetime Glick aired three seasons earlier, with Short nominated for a Primetime Emmy and the show winning for Perfect Prosthetic Make-up.

Each of these sides was on full display, because Brief’s “fat” makeup and costume were spectacular, and his quick wit and ridiculously nonsensical interview method were impeccable. This was comic genius absolutely in his element, as evidenced by the reactions of his friends.
While Primetime Glick movie star friends often struggled to maintain their composure in the face of Briefs… well, face… there was no hope for Hader or Hayes in the first two segments (and hopefully more to come). They laughed pretty much nonstop.
Between Brief’s physicality in the costumes, the way he moved with him, the pile of donuts next to him that he occasionally dipped into, and the outrageously impolite way he dealt with his friends, Hader barely had time to breathe, let alone to respond. .
“I was expecting an A-lister, but I’m thrilled to have you billed,” Glick told his first guest, before referring to his notes and adding “Hader.”
“You had a fascinating profession, didn’t you?” Glick asked him. “I don’t know much about it.” He then only changed it, noting, “I see you didn’t do hair and makeup,” which drove Hader crazy. “So it was a selection.”
After accusing him of hanging out at Diddy’s pool house, Glick stated, “I’d like to know everything about Bill Hader. I’d like to know what makes him tick, but I don’t want too many details because I don’t really care.”
He then went on to talk about Willie Nelson, who he called “the first of the Mohicans,” the death of Willie Mays, and the tragic cancellation of Arli$$ … which resulted in 2002 on HBO.

Jiminy Glick was much more savage when he walked in to interview Sean Hayes, immediately telling him, “I’m sorry. I have a huge movie star coming to sit here in a second, but I think I ordered a club sandwich topped with Stevia.”
As soon as Hayes claimed he was the visitor, Glick was amazed: “Your Sean Hayes? Oh my God, you’ve already had a job done! You’re an unrecognizable person.”
After disarming Hayes with comments about cosmetic surgery, Glick asked him, “Now, would you do a sitcom?” O Will and Grace The icon is often a quick-witted comedian in his own right, but he couldn’t keep up with Short.
Brief then defined Hayes’s present as being a “girl in motion” and a man who never committed the action “because” he was… totally different. Hayes responded that he was homosexual, which left Glick surprised.
“Oh my God! And that was allowed on TV,” he marveled. “Well, that’s why Trump is going to win.”
Regarding Hayes’ podcast, Glick said he probably wouldn’t do one because “I’ve never been this broke.” And it continued like that throughout the episode, with Hayes cracking up as he tried to prepare for what Glick would say next.
Ultimately, fans were left to absorb two comedy masterclasses, with Martin Brief superbly destroying two great comedians as they laughed and enjoyed every second!
Before bringing Glick to Jimmy Kimmel, stay! he passed by Real time to withdraw the Maher invoice in the same way. You can check out this madness below.
