As part of the debate on European defense at the European Council meeting, the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized that it is the need to improve the EU’s defense capabilities is undeniable.

Furthermore, he stressed that “we are at a time when Europe must do more in this area, develop and finance the European defense industry and not depend on third parties”.
“Anything less,” he emphasized, “sends the wrong message.”
