O Golden Bachelor star Teresa Nist is enjoying the summer weeks after finalizing her divorce from Gerry Turner.
The 70-year-old grandmother and reality TV star – who was given the final rose by Turner on the finale of the new dating show’s inaugural season — showed off her figure in a white swimsuit on a New Jersey beach this week.
The launch comes just a few weeks after Nist and Turner finalized the divorce agreementalthough Nist clearly found solace and support in family life. She shared last week that she was preparing to become a grandmother for the seventh time, while her son and his wife were preparing to welcome their third child.
“How lucky am I to have two amazing sons who married two other amazing humans and then had six amazing, beautiful boys?” Nist captioned a stunning sunset photo shoot of her daughter-in-law. “I am filled with so much joy, wonder, love and gratitude for this new life. And this baby is so lucky to be able to call my daughter ‘Mom’. She treats her three children with kindness, dignity and respect. She truly listens to them and does everything fairly and everyone loves her so much. I’m so grateful to be able to be called this baby’s Nana.”
According to court documents obtained by ET, Turner and Nist reached a settlement on June 4 in Indiana’s Pike Circuit Court. The nine-page document notes that the former couple tied the knot on January 4, 2024 and “lived together as husband and wife until April 12, 2024, when certain irreconcilable differences arising between the parties culminated in their separation.”
The update comes exactly two months after Turner and Nist announced in Good Morning America who were planning to divorce after just three months of marriage. The former couple got married in a televised ceremony on ABC in early January after the inaugural season in The Golden Bachelor.
“Theresa and I have had a series of candid conversations and we have looked closely at our situation, our living situation and so on and we have come to the mutual conclusion that it is probably time to dissolve our marriage,” Turner said at the time, sitting He stood next to Nist while holding her hand.
As for what led to the divorce, Turner vaguely noted, “What strikes me most in our conversations is how devoted we both are to our families… I think we both feel it is best for each other’s happiness to live apart.”
He insisted he “still loves” Nist, adding, “I still love this person. I have no doubt that I’m still in love with her. I root for her every day.”
The exes noted that they have a prenup and would recommend it to others, stating that they don’t want to discourage others from a second chance at love.
“I don’t think we can tell you how many people have told us it gave them so much hope. We don’t want any of this to change for anyone,” Nist said.
