A wildfire is raging out of control in Deschutes County, Oregon, USA. According to the state fire department, the fire front had spread to more than 8,000 acres as of Wednesday.
A rapidly evolving wildfire in central Oregon has prompted evacuation orders as crews work to contain the flames.

The fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon assumed large proportions due to strong winds and forced local authorities to issue evacuation orders for areas under immediate threat.

The second major fire in a few days
The American Red Cross has opened a shelter to accommodate residents who have been forced to leave their homes.
Firefighters are still fighting to contain the fire in Deschutes County.
A fire started in a nearby area last week, burning about 4,000 acres.
