A ship in the Israeli port of Haifa was targeted by rebels Houthi of Yemen today with drones in a joint venture with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
The operation targeted the Portuguese-flagged container ship MSC ManzanilloYahya Shari, military spokesman for the Houthi rebels, said today in a televised speech.
The Israeli army is not aware of any such incident, said a spokesman, saying there was no indication of anything unusual at Haifa port.
Yemen’s Houthi rebels have been launching drone and missile attacks on sea lanes since November in a show of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
The Iran-aligned Houthis first launched drone and missile attacks on shipping lanes in November. During dozens of attacks, the Houthis sank two ships, captured another and killed at least three sailors.
