Kevin Costner is open to finding love again. The 69-year-old actor and director has separated from his second wife, Christine Baumgartener, after 18 years of marriage.
But in a new interview the Horizon: an American saga the director is sincere when asked about what he looks for in a future partner.
“I’ve had two unique relationships,” Costner said Fox News. “A person who wants to be loved, and wants to be, you know… feels like they’re at their best. And that love helps that and doesn’t get in the way.”
Costner was previously married to Cindy Silva from 1978 to 1994. Yellow stone star and Baumgartener married in 2004 and their divorce was finalized earlier this year.
He is the father of seven children from these relationships and others. Five of Costner’s seven children came out earlier this week to support their father at the premiere of Horizon: an American saga.
Sons Joe, 36, Cayden, 17, and Hayes, 15 – who makes his acting debut in the film walked the red carpet with their dad, as did daughters Annie, 40, and Grace, 14. The legendary actor is also a father to Lily, 37, and Liam, 26, who did not attend the event. The film star’s three oldest children come from his relationship with Silva, while he shares Liam with ex-partner Bridget Rooney. Meanwhile, he shares Hayes, Cayden, and Grace with Baumgartner.
“It’s really nice to have a film celebrated and to have this particular film celebrated tonight and to be here with my actors, my family,” he told ET about the premiere. “This is my city. I love being part of the film community here in Hollywood.”
Costner too spoke with ET about his connection to The Bachelor franchise.
“They’re really beautiful people, beautiful women, and they’re all trying to create a relationship in front of a billion people,” Costner said. “I have a little experience with that.”
More recently, rumors surfaced that Costner began a romance with Jewelhowever, the actor denied thisinsisting that he “never went out” with the singer.
