Britney Spears‘ relationship with your children is heading in a good direction. In a statement to ET, a lawyer for Britney’s ex-husband, Kevin Federlineupdated the situation between the singer and her children.
“Reconciliations and reunification of relationships are difficult and take time. They are sometimes complicated and always a long process. The process has not really begun, much less (been) completed,” Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin’s high-powered attorney, told ET about Britney’s case. relationship with Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17.
“The good thing is that the boys saw that their mother was fine and wanted to talk to her,” he added. “There has been some phone communication between Britney and her children and we think it’s a step in the right direction.”
For now, ET was told the boys are living with their father in Hawaii, a move that Britney consented last year. Britney has yet to visit her children, she learned from ET.
Daily Mail was the first to report the news of a potential reconciliation between the singer and her children.
The update arrives just over a month later a source told ET that Britney “wants to prioritize taking care of herself and reestablishing her relationship with her family, including her children.”
“This is a priority of hers and she would love to heal things and get to a place where things can be healthy and consistent,” the source added.
In 2022, Jayden expressed a desire to repair his relationship with his mother.
“I 100 percent think this can be fixed, of course,” he said ITV News. “It’s going to take a lot of time and effort… I really want to see her again.”
Speaking directly to his mother, Jayden added: “I love you so much, I hope the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit like this and talk again.”
