Guests at Six Flags in Texas got an unexpected surprise after attendees found themselves in a fast-flowing, man-made river… into which a child fell, only to be saved.
Check out this video making the rounds…it shows several guests recently stuck on the Roaring Rapids ride at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. As you can see, 4 rafts were stuck in a U formation before one of the floats started to enter the water.
The situation soon escalated… when a handful of guests climbed onto a nearby platform for safety, with one boy following suit by jumping off his raft… but falling into the water.
It quickly became clear that the boy was struggling against the fast-moving water…requiring help from bystanders. The boy ended up being pulled to safety by another guest and a staff member – but honestly… it looked like he was going to be taken away for a while.
Although no one appeared seriously injured… a few pairs of shoes were missing among the rescued guests… with a single sneaker filmed floating down the river. He looked like the boy.
A Six Flags rep confirmed to us that no one was injured, telling TMZ… “One of the rafts in Roaring Rapids became stuck. Guests were instructed to remain seated on the raft while the ride resumed. All guests exited the ride with security and there were no injuries. The video shows that the guests exited the water safely.
Six Flags — which owns and operates several parks across the country — has seen its fair share of incidents over its decades in business… and while dramatic, this one thankfully didn’t end as badly as some others.
For example, in 2022… several Six Flags Great Adventure parkgoers in New Jersey were injured after riding the El Toro roller coaster… forcing the ride to close for 10 months before reopening last summer.
It looks like the Roaring Rapids ride had a much happier ending in the Lone Star State.
