Jeremy Allen White I work in The bear made the young actor a household name, and the star admitted that he is called “Chef” by fans of the culinary drama series on a regular basis.
White walked the red carpet at the show’s third season premiere on Tuesday at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood and spoke with ET’s Cassie DiLaura about how her two daughters — Ezer, 5, and Dolores, 3, feel when they They are with their father and fans call him Chef.
“It’s confusing and weird,” White admitted, “but they know they know the program.”
That being said, White explained that his two daughters – who he shares with ex-wife Addison Timlin – “I haven’t seen the show” yet.
“Well, my oldest, Ezzy, actually, she really likes the first two minutes of the pilot episode, which is just me getting scared by a bear and then falling on my ass,” White said with a laugh, referring to a sequence from dream since the first moments of the show in the first season. “She’s going to ask a lot to watch! But that’s all she saw.”
When it comes to how old he thinks his girls will have to be to actually watch the series, White said, “I don’t know if we’re ready to have that conversation.”
White looked chic in a gray linen suit, white button-down shirt and black tie as he posed for photos on the carpet at the elegant Hollywood premiere on Tuesday, and was delighted to have the opportunity to really celebrate the launch of the new season.
“We weren’t able to do it last year,[with the]strikes going on, so the only time we did a premiere was in the first season – and that was before the show came out,” he explained. “So there certainly wasn’t anyone doing any of that when we did our first season!
While The bear has his legion of fans and a long string of awards and accolades, many fans are getting excited about White’s portrayal Bruce Springsteen in the next biographical film Deliver me from nothing.
The film is expected to follow Springsteen as he creates his iconic album Nebraska with the E Street Band. The film will be an adaptation of Warren Zanes’ 2023 book, Deliver Me From Nothing: Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska Production. The album was Springsteen’s sixth studio album and was released in 1982 to critical acclaim.
According to White, the film is moving forward and he is preparing to take on the role, but has not yet met with Springsteen in person.
“I haven’t spoken to him,” White said. “We’re still putting it all together. We hope to go later this year, but there are definitely some things we’re still trying to put into place.”
“But yeah, you know, I’m picking up the guitar and trying to learn all the stuff,” White added.
The film is being directed by Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper and produced by former Netflix president Scott Stuber. Film production company A24, which produces the Oscars, is in negotiations for the film. Springsteen and his manager, Jon Landau, are also “actively involved” in the project, according to Deadline.
Meanwhile, all 10 episodes of 3rd season of The bear will be available to stream on June 26, exclusively on Hulu.
