The countdown to the delivery of this year’s tax returns has been started by the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE). Anyone who accesses the AADE website will see that a timer has been posted indicating the time left until July 26th, when the deadline for submitting declarations ends.
Especially 1.3 million employees and pensioners who want to update themselves before AADE automatically withdraws their own declaration, as it is pre-filled, must do so by July 1st. On July 2nd, AADE will settle the declaration based on the data pre-filled in it.
However, until July 2, the category of taxpayers mentioned above has the possibility of submitting the declaration. Before doing so, taxpayers must check the pre-filled codes relating to salaries, pensions, real estate, cars, subsidies, protected members and if they find errors or omissions they have the possibility of making corrections.
Penalty-free fixes until July 26th
Corrections can be made without fines and additions until July 26th. If the amending declaration is presented after July 26th and there is an increase in tax payable, fines and surcharges will be incurred.
In the period until July 26, AADE statistics show that only 1/3 of tax returns were submitted. The number of E1 exceeds 2.67 million in a total of 6.4 million declarations that remain to be presented. As for freelancers who went through the submission process, there are more than 404 thousand.
Zero 49.34% of liquidators
As can be seen from AADE statistics, 49.34% of settlement notes are zero, 29.47% are debts, with debtors being obliged to pay a total tax of 1.029 billion euros while 21.19% are credits, being the amount that will be returned. to beneficiaries for a total amount of 182.7 million euros.
