A James Bond fan wanting to pay his respects to Roger Moore is revealing a disturbing discovery – the late 007’s resting place was vandalized… TMZ has learned.
The fan — who wants to remain anonymous — told TMZ that he stopped at the Cimetière de Monaco, a small, exclusive cemetery in La Colle, Monaco, and tried to find the late actor’s tombstone last week. He was looking for the cemetery’s unique marker…a large family crest.
Well, he found the grave – but he also discovered that the large shield representing Moore’s family had been torn off… and he took photos of the bare tombstone to prove it.
The fan told TMZ that he is equally shocked and upset that anyone would desecrate any grave… but especially one belonging to the James Bond legend.
Here’s another shocker: we call and it appears that no one with the power to do anything about the theft is aware!
We contacted the local police, as well as the Cimetière de Monaco, and both parties told us… that this was not on their radar, as no one reported the vandalism. Our call was the first they had heard about it.
We have also reached out to Moore’s estate for comment, but so far no response.
As Bond devotees know – Moore took on the role of Bond’s super-smooth spy. Sean Connery …starring in 7 films, starting with “Live and Let Die” and concluding with “A View to a Kill”.

The fan tells us he shared the disturbing news with a private Facebook group, and the word is… a lot of Bond fans are shaken AND agitated by a petty criminal showing so much disrespect for Moore’s legacy.
