A James Bond fan trying to pay homage to Roger Moore is revealing a disturbing discovery – the late 007’s resting place was vandalized… TMZ has noticed.
The fan — who wants to remain anonymous — told TMZ that he stopped at the Cimetière de Monaco, a small, exclusive cemetery in La Colle, Monaco, and tried to find the late actor’s tombstone last week. He was looking for the distinctive marker of the burial site…a large family crest.
Well, he found the grave – but he also discovered that the large fender representing Moore’s family had been torn off… and he took photos of the bare tombstone to show it.
The fan told TMZ he’s equally shocked and upset that anyone would desecrate any grave… but especially one belonging to the James Bond legend.
This is another shock – we call it a round one, and it doesn’t seem like anyone capable of doing anything about the theft is even aware!
We contacted the local police and also the Cimetière de Monaco, and both events told us… this was not on their radar as no one reported the vandalism. Our name was the first they heard about it.
We have also reached out to Moore’s estate for comment, but so far no response.
As Bond devotees know – Moore took on the role of Bond’s super-smooth spy Sean Connery …starring in seven films, starting with “Stay and Let Die” and ending with “A View to a Kill.”

The iconic English actor died in 2017, aged 89.
The fan tells us he shared the disturbing news with a personal Facebook group, and the line is… several Bond fans are shaken AND have incited some petty arrests displaying such disrespect for Moore’s legacy.
