The rookie cop who arrested Justin Timberlake because DWI is soaking up the summer in the Hamptons… and doesn’t seem the least bit concerned about his newfound fame.
Michael Arkinson – the Sag Harbor police officer who pulled Justin and took him to jail – he spent Sunday Funday on a boat about an hour north of where he arrested JT. When you didn’t know it, he and his companion, Otisare named in the police report as the arresting officers… but Mike is getting credit as the man who presented Justin for arrest.
Anyway… take a look at these photos/films, obtained by TMZ, showing a generally shirtless Arkinson sitting on a clout boat docked at a restaurant in Greenport, NY over the weekend.
People who were there tell us that Arkinson was eating and dining at Claudio’s Waterfront… and kept a relatively low profile after his big bust, although it doesn’t look like he was trying to hide out here. The guy is simply living life… undeterred by all the attention he received following Justin’s arrest last week.
Arkinson, we were told, was with a handful of friends – they usually spent a few hours at the seafood restaurant before heading back to the boat.
The man is already well known in Sag Harbor. Locals have told media outlets that he is a bit of a traffic stickler and is now even more in the spotlight – a local celebrity of sorts, so to speak.
Based on what we’re seeing here, though, Arkinson isn’t too shy… and it looks like he knows how to spend time on Long Island, even after his name was thrown around in the media last week.
Don’t expect to see Arkinson’s body camera footage of his interaction with Justin anytime soon, though — as we first reported, the Sag Harbor Police Department is not releasing the footage …at least until the investigation is over.

Meanwhile, Justin continues his world tour… and Arkinson is making the most of his ship partnership.

You have to consider the conversations he’s currently having – something tells us they all start with the same question, about the same suspect.
