Statements by the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, that targeted our country and Cyprus in the context of developments in the Middle East and threatening messages from Hezbollah, condemned the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the statement, “references to the militarization of Cyprus of the Turkish Foreign Minister, who kept tens of thousands of soldiers illegally in Cyprus for five decades, is understandably provocative.”
“The Republic of Cyprus defends the maintenance of security in the region and condemns the Turkish attitude”, adds the ministry.
