Taylor Swift there are still some bad blood when it comes to your enemies!
During Night 2 of her London Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, the 34-year-old singer addressed the audience – and people who have something negative to say – before introducing her supposed Kim Kardashian diss track“thank you toIMee.”
“I was thinking about playing at Wembley Stadium. That’s not even remotely normal (and) it’s crazy that you did that for me… and my team because we’re going to play at Wembley Stadium eight times this summer.” the GRAMMY-winning singer told a crowd of more than 90,000 people.
“You clearly thought it was a good idea (and) wanted it to happen. It blows my mind. I will spend forever trying to thank you for this,” she added.
Before entering the track, Swift made one thing clear to anyone who thinks about doubting her or saying “shit”.
“On the other hand, it really makes me think about how every time someone talks shit, it makes me work even harder and makes me even tougher. So it also makes me extremely grateful for these people,” she told the crowd.
After the speech, she began to sing the song Department of Tortured Poets which Swifties considered the anthem for her and Kardashian’s years-long feud. Fans instantly began to speculate that “thanK you aIMee” is a reference to the founder of SKIMS, mainly because of the capital letters in the track title that mean “KIM”.
The song itself is rooted in the story of a hometown bully “throwing punches” at the narrator. As she deals with the “searing pain” of the attacks, she ultimately discovers that it made her stronger in the end.
Kardashian, 43, and Swift the rivalry has lasted more than a decadestarting when the reality TV star’s ex-husband, Kanye West, snatched a Video Music Award from Swift’s hands in 2009, and presumably rapped about her on his track, “Famous.”
Swift’s speech also came amid Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl apparently throwing punches at the “Anti-Hero” singer during the band’s Saturday night show at the London Stadium.
In shared videos as of now, Grohl is between songs as he riles up the crowd on Swift’s behalf.
“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” the veteran rocker, 55, told the crowd, which was heard booing. “So we like to call our tour the Mistakes Tour. We’ve had more than a few eras and more than a few mistakes too.
Seemingly criticizing Swift’s onstage production value, Grohl continued, “That’s because we actually play live. What? I’m just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll, right? You’ve come to the right place.” .” *place.”
Despite enemies, Swift had plenty of running and star-studded support during their round of London shows, which began on Friday. Starting the three-day residency, the first night was attended by Prince WilliamPrince George, Princess Charlotte, Nicola Coughlan, Cara Delevingne and Jason and Kylie Kelce.
The second night was even more star-studded with the likes of Tom Cruise, Hugh Grant and Salma Hayek in attendance. On Sunday, the stars aligned once again, with Sir Paul McCartney, Sophie Turner, Gracie Abrams Ellie Goulding and others in the audience.
Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, would not be forgotten as he attended all three nights and even took the stage alongside his beloved, where he offered support alongside his dancers for a quick change mid-show.
The “London Boy” singer will return for five more shows at the venue on August 15th and 17th and August 19th and 20th.
