There were some real blank spaces where Kate Middleton and Prince Louis should have been during the night 1 of TAylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London.
On Friday, Prince William and accompanied by his and Kate’s two eldest children, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince George, 10, for the first show from the GRAMMY-winning singer’s London performance at Wembley Stadium, and Kate and Louis were noticeably absent.
ET has learned that Kate, 42, stayed home with Louis, 6, while William, George and Charlotte hung out during the star-studded show. According to a source, Kate – who made her public debut following her cancer diagnosis during last week’s Trooping the Coulor – will not attend any future shows.
“Princess Kate is not expected to attend any future Taylor shows. Her appearance on King’s Trooping the Color doesn’t mean she’s returning to a full schedule of public commitments just yet, the source said.
In March, the Princess of Wales publicly revealed her cancer diagnosis.
On Friday, both William and Swift celebrated the night with photos. The heir to the British throne took to his official social media platforms to share a selfie of himself and his two eldest children with the “Blank Space” singer.
“Thank you @taylorswift for a great night! #LondonTSTheErastour,” the caption next to the photo of Swift holding her phone as William, George and Charlotte smile at the camera behind her.
The source notes that the photo was taken before Friday’s show, before the GRAMMY-winning singer took the stage.
For her part, Swift took to her social media to share another selfie of herself, the royal and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
“Happy birthday M8! The London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝 @princeandprincessofwales,” she wrote.
The photo also marked her and Kelce’s first moment on the Instagram grid.
Inside the show, William couldn’t contain his excitement when he was seen dancing to “Shake It Off”.
William has been a Swiftie for some time. You may remember that he and Swift took the stage alongside Jon Bon Jovi in November 2013 at the Centrepoint gala dinner at Kensington Palace in London, where they sang “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
London brought the star power as Swift’s concert was attended by several celebrities including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Tom Cruise, Jason and Kylie Kelce It is Hugh Grant, during the first two nights.
Swift’s last visit to Wembley for this stage will be on June 23. The “London Boy” singer will return for five more shows at the venue between August 15th and 17th and August 19th and 20th.
