Manchester Airport flights are expected to resume in the afternoon and evening as normal operations are gradually restored. Previously, a a power outage caused widespread problems, resulting in the cancellation of all flights from UK airport terminals 1 and 2.
What the airport administration reports
It is unclear what caused the power outage. The airport’s management said in a statement that it is working with airlines to reschedule canceled flights in the coming days, adding that flights scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, will not be affected.
The airport previously announced in a post on X that passengers scheduled to travel from Terminal 3 should proceed to the airport as normal unless instructed otherwise by the airline. However, they may also experience delays.
The news was first reported by Sky News, which reported that a power problem affected the airport and some other buildings.
Power has been restored, but services will be affected throughout the day, according to the report.
