The picture of the fire in Ilia, which is still ongoing, has improved slightly, according to the deputy governor of Ilia, Nikos Korovesis, on Saturday morning.
Speaking to r/s Sky he said the winds are weaker since yesterday and expressed the hope that, with the help of the air resources that should come from the air launches, the situation will improve even further.
According to him, during the day, people who abandoned them in the evacuated areas should return to their homes.
At the moment, “there is no real picture of the damage,” Korovesis also noted.

Firefighters fought overnight the flames of the fires that broke out in the last twenty-four hours in the country.
