British and American royalty, unite! Taylor Swift had three very special guests present at their London Eras Tour stop on Friday.
Prince William and his two eldest sons, Prince George10 and Princess Charlotte9, were spotted at Wembley Stadium enjoying the big show.
The Prince of Wales was spotted singing Swift’s hit “Shake It Off” in the stands on his 42nd birthday.
As a special gift, Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelcewho also attended the show, had a private meeting with the royals backstage.
The “Fortnight” singer took several selfies with the team, giving William a birthday message, writing: “Happy birthday, M8! The shows in London started splendidly 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝”
The image also marked the first photo of Kelce that Swift shared on her Instagram grid.
William also shared a photo of himself with Swift, George and Charlotte on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account, writing: “Thank you @taylorswift for a great night! #LondonTSTheErastour.”
The royals were far from the only celebrities in attendance. In Travis, Jason and Kylie Kelce for BridgertonNicola Coughlan and strange eyeJonathan Van Ness (who was in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video), there was there is no shortage of celebrities among the 80,000 present.
William’s wife was not present at the show Kate Middletonor the couple’s youngest son, Prince Louis, 6 years old. Kate is currently undergoing cancer treatment as she remains largely out of the spotlight.
The Princess of Wales did it first public appearance earlier this month at the annual Trooping the Color birthday parade for his father-in-law, King Charles III.
William has been a Swiftie for some time. The Prince of Wales and Swift took to the stage alongside Jon Bon Jovi in November 2013 at the Centrepoint Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace in London, where they sang “Livin’ on a Prayer”.
Earlier in the day on Friday, the royal guard played Swift’s “Shake It Off” during the Changing of the Guard in honor of the Eras tour stop.
Swift will perform at Wembley Stadium from June 21-23 and again on August 15-17 and August 19-20. It’s not the first time that Swift’s Eras Tour show has been graced with royal presence. Last August, Prince Harry’the wife, Meghan Markle, made an appearance at Swift’s Los Angeles stop at SoFi Stadium.
