The EU’s clear support for Cyprus after threats issued by Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah expressed the representative of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, Peter Stano, during the correspondents’ briefing in Brussels.

Peter Stano highlighted that “Cyprus is an EU member state and that means the EU and Cyprus are EU. This means that any threat to one of our Member States is a threat to the EU. In this context, the EU fully supports Cyprus and the statement made by the President of Cyprus regarding Hezbollah’s threats.”
“We will continue to support Cyprus and show solidarity with Cyprus and that is why we support the statement issued by the Cypriot president,” he added.

Nikos Christodoulidis responded to yesterday’s statements by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and the threats he made against Cyprus.
