Painful Lessons Podcast
Armie Martelois reflecting on the viral cannibalism allegations that are destroying his life… laughing at how ridiculous they are before adding that he’s “grateful” for everything he’s experienced.
The actor sat down for a wide-ranging interview with the discreet “Painful Lessons” podcast… talking about how the online hate against him transformed his life – in some ways, for the better.
Hammer starts off by saying that he is able to look at all of his trials and tribulations from a distance and finds them hilarious… thinking that it was totally ridiculous for anyone to think they could eat another person.
Armie calls the experience of people purchasing claims online bizarre before taking the conversation in an unexpected direction… admitting he’s actually “grateful” for the whole situation.
Hammer says, “Whatever people said, whatever happened, I’m now at a point in my life where I’m grateful for every bit of it.” So even statements about eating other people sound good to Armie.
While this may shock people… Armie explains that he was in a bad place in life before these claims came out – no self-esteem and a constant feeling of dissatisfaction with his life.

Hammer says he also sought validation from others… turning to reading social media comments as a way to boost his self-image – before ultimately referring to himself as a “black hole.” Hammer says that when adoration turned to hate, he had to learn to love himself, and ultimately, he was better for it.
It’s a really interesting perspective on allegations that began in 2021, when direct messages he allegedly sent to a woman were leaked online… detailing sexual fantasies filled with references to cannibalism. He was also accused of rapeallegations that were investigated via the Los Angeles County DA but never pressed charges.
Armie admitted that he had been “a jerk” to women in the past, but has always categorically denied ever sexually assaulting anyone.
Either way… it looks like Armie is embracing the chaos in his life – seeing it through a surprisingly positive lens.
