Dear reader, it’s time to return to high society to Bridgerton Season 3, part 2!
Just weeks after leaving the world yearning for more of Penelope Featherington (Image: Instagram)Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) as they evolved from friends to lovers, Netflix dropped the second half of the third season on Friday. The streaming service teased the final four episodes with a first look that seemed to show anything but a smooth path for the pair down the aisle.
After a steamy ending to Season 3, Part 1 – and an impromptu proposal that left fans shocked, excited, and begging for Part 2 immediately – the show picks up again minutes after the final scene with Colin (spoiler alert!!) telling the his mother, Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell), and sisters Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Hyacinth (Florence Hunt) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd) he and Penelope are engaged to marry.
While it should be a joyous time for the happy couple – namely Penelope, who has loved Colin from afar for years – the looming secret of her secret identity as Lady Whistledown remains up in the air, especially with Eloise, who knows and threatens to expose Penelope. to Colin.
In honor of the new trailer and upcoming episodes, Mrs Whistledown ET has compiled a list of all the answers to your burning questions about Season 3, Part 2.
When will Bridgerton Season 3, part 2 released on Netflix?
The second half of the third season of Bridgerton arrives on Netflix on June 13th. It’s just a few days shy of a month since Part 1 hit the streaming app on May 16 and racked up 25.3 million views in its first week, according to Netflix. After two weeks, Season 3 has been watched for more than 42 million hours. The award makes it the biggest opening of a season in the Shonda Rhimesseries produced so far.
Where did part 1 stop?
In the Season 3, Part 1 finale, Colin proposes to Penelope after a romp in a carriage – to the tune of Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything”, which the singer recently responded to. Bridgerton’s third son eventually comes to his senses and admits his love for the flower of life, prompting her to do the same.
The situation is more than precarious, however, as Penelope has a life-changing secret about her identity as Lady Whistledown that could threaten her marriage to the man of her dreams. The promos for Season 3, Part 2 show Penelope’s former best friend and (potential) new sister-in-law, Eloise, threatening to tell her secret if Penelope doesn’t confess everything herself.
“If it’s too difficult for you to reveal the truth, I’ll reveal it to him myself,” Eloise tells Penelope in the trailer.
Elsewhere, Francesca Bridgerton is coming to terms with her love for the Earl of Kilmartin (Victor Alli) and Violet Bridgerton is flirting with the possibility of finding love again in Lady Danbury’s (Adjoa Andoh) brother, Lord Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis).
Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen) — who has spent the season getting close to Eloise — throws herself at Penelope’s suitor Lord Alfred Debling (Sam Phillips) after Colin’s rude but important interruption during the dance.
“There’s a natural structure for eight episodes, and we’ve actually done this every season, that Episode 4 ends at a midpoint of major world change,” said showrunner Jess Brownell. Netflix Tudum. “Viewers know there is something extra hanging over Penelope and Colin that will cause conflict in the second half.”
ET talked to the cast and crew at the first-part premiere in May and everyone agreed that while things might take a while to heat up – much like Colin and Penelope’s love for each other – it promises to be an exciting season.
“It’s a slow burn, but it’s a really good slow burn,” Rhimes said of season three. “You feel it – it feels really good… we want to build that anticipation and make you have fun.”
“It’s worth the wait,” added Harriet Cains, the actress who plays Philippa Featherington. “It’s the sexiest thing, yes. There’s a lot of sex – I’m just going to say it that way.”
“We’ve been hot and steamy, a little slow, and now we’re reaching the climax of a three-season wait,” the Lady Danbury actress shared. Adjoa Andoh. “I think people were really invested in this story.”
In celebration of the final four episodes, Coughlan shared a photo on Instagram of her and Newton on set, next to a broken piece of furniture that fans of the book will know comes from a very fluid scene!
“The second part is out now, we put our hearts and souls into it, we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we loved filming it ❤️
#PolinForever,” she captioned the photo.

Which book will be the focus of season 3?

Coughlan announced the news herself in Bridgerton FYSEE panel in May 2022, and Rhimes later confirmed via Instagram.
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, season 3, part 2 sees news of Colin and Penelope’s engagement spread quickly through society, as society grapples with the shocking turn of events for the best friends. The news is especially surprising because Season 2 ended with Colin openly declaring that he could never woo Penelope.
“Some – like romantic mom Violet – are delighted. Others – including Colin and Penelope’s brothers – are shocked. Polin, however, just wants to bask in their love; you’ll have to watch the clip to see lots of sweet treats ( and sensual ) moments between the pair”, the description read.
