Andy Cohen is opening up about the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
On Wednesday, ET spoke with Bravo’s Storytellers mainstay – Andy Cohen in conversation with Anderson Cooper during the 2024 Tribeca Festival, and he set the record straight about the RHONJ launch rumors of unrest.
“There has been a lot of casting news about Jersey which was reported today. None of this is true. No decision has been made,” Cohen told ET. “We haven’t even had any serious conversations about next season, so anything you read about what Jerseyit’s going to be for the next season, for the next one, I would say six months, it’s false, so don’t believe it.”
The casting talk probably comes from the fact that Cohen recently confirmed that there will not be a traditional reunion episode in the season 14 finale starring Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral It is Rachel Fuck.
“When you watch the finale, you will understand why there is no reunion,” Cohen said. “The ending is epic and great and I’m excited for everyone to see it. We all came to the same understanding after watching it, so I don’t think it will be a big surprise.”
As for why there will be no reunion this season, ET previously reported that it is largely due to significant divisions within the cast.
“A reunion must have resolution and it’s clear by the end of the season that there is no path forward in this type of scenario,” a source told ET. “A dramatic dinner with the entire cast at the end of the season will make this decision clearer to the audience.”
RHONJ isn’t the only Bravo franchise facing change. For the first time in its history, Vanderpump Rules not filming during the summerthus delaying its next season following Tom Sandovalin cheating scandal.
“I’m no longer a producer on the show,” Cohen noted. “The show has evolved and is a huge success. They started production this season and I think it’s always good to give people time to grow up and live their lives. I think it’s a smart move.”
So there is Summer housewhich is currently on air their season 8 reunion following Carl Radkein break up with lindsay hubbard. For his part, Cohen hopes Radke and Hubbard return for Season 9.
“I hope Carl and Lindsay are under the same roof,” he said. “I’m not a producer. They’ve both been on the show for years. If they want to come back, (they) should. I can’t wait to watch them.”
About that, The Real Housewives of Orange County I just fell your season 18 trailer. The next season will be the 100th in all Housewives show.
“I’m surprised we’re still here,” Cohen admitted. “Do we have 100 more seasons in us? Yes, absolutely. Now that we’re at 100, let’s go to 200.”
Ultimately, the goal of the network, the See what happens live with Andy Cohen said the host, “it’s about keeping the shows interesting, making the fans love them and keeping the ball in the air, and that’s what we’re doing.”
