The alleged villain addressed in Netflix’s ‘Dancing for the Devil’ was the subject of two previous prison investigations, but neither resulted in any price tag… TMZ has noticed.
Law enforcement sources inform us that two cases of sexual assault have been registered against Robert Shinn and reported to the LAPD in August 2023 – which tracks with what was lined up in the document… with some of his accusers coming forward and noting that they had gone to the police.
We were informed that one of the cases was recorded by a former member of 7M Kylie Douglas, whose history was presented in the document. Our sources say the LAPD conducted an investigation and the case eventually reached the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
Another case was opened and submitted to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office last August – but we are told that they finally dismissed both cases in April of this year – citing insufficient evidence and a major delay in reporting as the reasons for not bringing any prices.
Shinn rose to prominence with the recent release of the document… which characterized his organization as “7M TikTok Cult” and raised concerns about dancers Miranda DerrickShinn’s involvement with Shinn and his company. He is referred to as BS in these accusations.
Derrick herself pushed again against allegations of being brainwashed or managed by Shinn… calling it bullshit and suggesting that she is completely tremendous.

The document details how Shinn’s management company oversees several famous TikTok dancers — and includes allegations from former dancers who say Shinn demanded a significant portion of their income and isolated them from their family and friends.
As we said… Shinn categorically denied all of the allegations made in the doc – and even filed a defamation lawsuit against the accusers featured in the series as well.
On the law enforcement side of the issues… they didn’t find any evidence either.
