“That morning, I was happy, I was beaming with happiness, I videotaped it,” said Trainor, 30. Final Meals host Josh Scherer, recalling her response to the studies she expected. “I did interviews and they said, ‘How are you?’ and I mentioned, ‘I’m thriving.’ I was very happy.
“And then, right before my last interview, I look down and I’m gushing blood,” she continued. “I ruined a chair.”
“I go, ‘Oh no,’ and then they go, ‘Okay, Ryan Seacrest is on. Go!’” Trainor added.
The “Made You Look” singer said she struggled to keep her feelings at bay during the Zoom interview.
“I did that whole interview like, ‘Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry,’ and then I kept going,” Trainor said. “I closed the computer and thought, ‘Hey, group, I think I’m having an abortion now.’”
“I went to the bathroom and realized what was happening, and I thought, okay, I had a baby this morning and now they’re gone,” she continued. “I was thinking I’ll just continue testing, and the pregnancy was still optimistic.”
“I had a blood test ready and it’s as if the value was zero for anyone who isn’t pregnant,” he added. “My quantity was 90,000.”
Trainor – who was convinced she was pregnant with twins – then went to the doctor for a six-week checkup, only to discover she was 10 weeks pregnant!
“At six weeks, I walked in and he said, ‘Wow, that’s a 10-week-old,’” she recalled. “I was like, ‘I’ve been pregnant this whole time?!’ So, I was pregnant since (Jimmy) Fallon’s performance.”
“What a nightmare that was,” Trainor added, reflecting on the experience now. “Roller coaster. Like, I told everyone in the family, ‘I’m pregnant!’ and later I thought, ‘I lost him.’ It was horrible and then incredible.”
Coach and Sabará welcome son Barry in July 2023. At the time, the couple confirmed the birth of their son Barry Bruce Trainor in an Instagram post that featured a series of photos of their new son being held by various relatives — including solo shots of the boy bundled up inside the hospital room.
