Throwback procedurals have become so popular on Netflix in recent years that White collar – O Matt Bomerled crime series that originally aired on US Network from 2009 to 2014 – is now being revived, with Bomer and several other members of the show’s original cast set to return.
White collar creator Jeff Eastin just revealed this news in Variety‘s TV Fest, confirming that he wrote a script for what he called a “reboot” of the show. Bomer was also at the festival and said he would participate in the new series, along with other colleagues White collar stars Tim DeKay and Tiffany Thiessen.
Here’s how DeKay described the reboot’s pilot script:
It’s a fantastic script and answers all the questions anyone would have if they watched the show, and would introduce the show to those who haven’t watched it yet. Both edges of the sword are sharp.

In the original series, Bomer played a con artist who is arrested by the FBI and then agrees to team up with an agent (DeKay) to capture other white-collar criminals in exchange for a reduced sentence.
A member of the original White collar Missing from the new show will be Willie Garson, who played Bomer’s best friend and fellow con man, Mozzie. Garson sadly passed away in 2021 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. DeKay said the show will address his absence and “honor Willie too, in a deep way, with so much sensitivity and so much heart.”
The home of the new show has not yet been announced, but it’s a fair bet that it will be made expressly for streaming, given the series’ popularity there.
