michael richards is making a comeback of sorts — releasing a new book while also reflecting on his n-word rant… saying he’s a better person nearly 20 years later.
The former “Seinfeld” star just released a memoir called “Entrances and Exits,” and it’s making the rounds in the media right now — appearing on “Today” Tuesday for a chat with Hoda Kotbwhich addressed the elephant in the room… namely his infamous 2006 meltdown.
We broke the story at the time… Richards used the n-word several times on Laugh Factory while lashing out at a black audience member who was harassing him and losing his cool.
Hoda asked him straight up how he was different now compared to then… and MR gave what seems like a pretty genuine answer, saying that he’s changed and grown a lot since then.

One thing Richards says is that he feels less angry now – although he acknowledges that he is still angry… but just less. He also had time to examine himself and understand what angered him that night. Likewise, Richards says he has forgiven himself.
Hoda also asks if he’s made amends and apologized – something he’s done in the past – and Mike says yes…he feels like he’s done enough to get past this and resurface.
Of course, your “Seinfeld” co-star Jerry Seinfeld He was by his side practically the entire time… and even wrote the preface to Richrads’ book. It’s already in stores.
