Here’s What Candace Owens Said After Donald Trump’s Guilty Verdict
As The Shadow Room previously reported, the former president was convicted of 34 charges in New York on Thursday, May 30. Trump was accused of paying Stormy Daniels, an adult entertainer, $130,000 “to boost his electoral prospects in the 2016 presidential election,” per ABC news.
On Thursday, Owens took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his thoughts following Trump’s guilty verdict. Note, Vanity Fair reports that Owens has previously spoken openly about his support for Trump.
In response to his guilty verdict, Owens apparently called the country a “banana republic.”
“We just happen to live in a banana republic, folks,” she wrote. “It’s time to just accept it.”
Furthermore, she explained that “nothing” in the country is “legitimate”. Ultimately, Owens stated that Trump’s guilty verdict does not “embarrass him” but “embarrasses our country.”
“Nothing is legitimate – not the media, our elections or the courts,” she added. “This guilty verdict doesn’t shame Trump, it shames our country.”
Social media weighs
Owens’ words provoked reactions in Shade Room Comments Section.
Instagram user @imweaakk wrote, “He was found guilty by a jury of his peers, not the judge… get it together, Candace.
While Instagram user @professor_wynn added, “She REALLY should 🤫! How frfr! It was FAIR! Her lawyers helped select the jury! He has the BEST lawyers money can buy! It’s not rigged, it’s just GUILTY! THE DEFENSE WITNESS is the one who sank the case! Crap! Bye 👋🏽 girl! Have multiple seats!
Instagram user @stacy_beee wrote, “A jury of 12 peers found him guilty. It’s crazy how when things don’t work out for the privileged, they immediately try to attack our democracy and delegitimize the rule of law. But when real injustices happen to black and brown people, they are struck dumb.”
While Instagram user @r0832t added, “Mom, you can move to Australia whenever you want.
Instagram user @fightergallant wrote, “Imagine committing a crime and being found guilty.”
While Instagram user @rexa_million added, “The funny thing is that the jury that convicted him were people chosen by his lawyers. You can’t make this shit up.
Chance, the rapper wrote, “Ion lives in no DAMN BANANA REPUBLIC”
Additionally, Owens’ review also sparked mixed reactions in his comments section on X.
Change is necessary and fast.

Are you kidding me? The guy was guilty on all counts. May 30th, the day of Trump’s sentencing, should become a federal holiday from now on! 😀🇺🇸

Proud moment for our country, indeed. Sorry your guy lost, but the rule of law is more important. Too bad you don’t believe that.

They attack Trump with a legal war, just like the Daily Wire is attacking you. We see the truth and support you both!
