After two weeks of outrage, Harrison Butkerin Controversial commencement speech finally resulted in someone being fired — it just wasn’t the Chiefs’ placekicker who lost his job — but instead, a member of the city of KC’s social media team was eliminated after doxxing the Super Bowl champion.
On Thursday, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas revealed the “separate” city of a KC employee who publicly roasted, 28 years old Butker after his speech at Benedictine College, tweeting, “Just a reminder that Harrison Butker lives in the town of Lee’s Summit.”
The message was deleted soon after… and an apology was put in its place – “We apologize (sic) for our previous tweet. It was shared in error.”
Unfortunately for the city official, the tweet angered many who believed the message put Harrison’s safety at risk… including the Missouri Attorney General – the state’s top law enforcement officer – who promised to take action.
“I will enforce the Missouri Human Rights Act to ensure that Missourians are not targeted for their free exercise of religion. Stay tuned,” MO AG Andrew Bailey said at the time.
It’s unclear whether the attorney general will take action now that the social media employee is out of work.
In turn, the mayor wants to get out of the controversy.
During a local radio appearance this week, Lucas said… “We’re all eager to move on, let the Chiefs play, (and) let the city do what it’s supposed to do in providing basic services.”

Despite many asking for his work… Butker is receiving support from some of the most influential bosses, including Patrick Mahomeshead coach Andy Reid and heir to the team Gracie Hunt got their kicks back.
Harrison Butker isn’t going anywhere.
