Taylor Swift I can do this with a broken microphone.
The 34-year-old pop singer handled a sound and wardrobe issue like a pro over the weekend, bravely untying her entire dress on stage while trying to fix a technical difficulty. In a video shared on social media, Swift is seen on the third night of her Eras Tour stop at the Friends Arena in Stokholm, Sweden, fiddling with a microphone pack attached to the back of her costume during the surprise song section of her show.
After telling fans that the device had “fallen apart,” Swift jokingly asked the audience to “talk to each other” for a moment. She then quickly moved to another part of the stage and sat at the piano while fully opening her blue dress for better access to the microphone package. Underneath, Swift was still wearing her two-piece outfit from “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” which came right before the surprise songs in her setlist.
Eventually, a crew member came to Swift’s aid to help control the situation. The “Fortnight” singer did a silly little dance as she replaced her costume and continued with the show.
“Stockholm!!!! Thank you for being the most generous, enthusiastic and magical crowds and for breaking the stadium attendance record all three nights,” Swift wrote on Instagram after the show. “I can’t believe this is the first time we’ve played in Sweden – but it won’t be the last…”
Swift kicked off her revamped Eras Tour earlier this month in Paris, after releasing her 11th studio album, Department of Tortured Poetsand adding a whole new section to your live show. Following her three-night run in Stockholm, Swift is set to perform in Lisbon, Portugal, on Friday and Saturday.
This after the artist enjoyed a romantic getaway with your boyfriend Travis Kelce in Lake Como, Italy. At one point, the pair were seen traveling on a boat – and kissing – while heading to dinner at a popular restaurant.
Kelce had already been in hand to support Swift at one of her concerts in Paris, seeing her perform for the first time two new songs said to be about him.
“I don’t know if they’re just getting better or if I keep forgetting how they’re doing.” Kelce said of the concert in your New heights podcast last week. “It was electric.”
“It looks like they are having a great time up there and are absolutely killing it,” he added of the production. “They’re putting on a show you won’t find anywhere else.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end noted that he plans to be “all over the world” the rest of the summer, leading many to believe he may appear at Swift’s other European shows.
“It’s like the yin to my yang,” he said. “Football, that keeps me locked up in Kansas City during the season and I just need to fly and have fun in the offseason.”
Things are going so well between the duo that a source told ET that “your loved ones see an engagement coming sooner rather than later.”
“They make a great combination,” the source added. “There’s no doubt about it.”
