A massive fire hit the offices of Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk, on the outskirts of Copenhagen, firefighters announced.
“It’s a huge fire. We’ve deployed about 100 firefighters,” said director of operations Martin Smith, clarifying that the building had been evacuated.
The fire started in a container at the Novo Nordisk construction site and spread to the roof of a neighboring company office building.
The smoke is visible from a distance of 30 kilometers.
Today’s fire occurred less than a week after a fire on May 16 at another Novo Nordisk site in Kalundborg, which did not affect the company’s production.
