The ship that was hit by the Houthis this afternoon in the Red Sea belonged to Greece, according to US Central Command.
The Houthis fired an anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) and hit the M/T Wind, a Panamanian-flagged oil tanker.
The M/T Wind recently docked in Russia and was destined for China, according to ERT. The attack caused flooding which resulted in the loss of propulsion and steering. The warship immediately responded to M/T Wind’s distress call, but no assistance was required. The M/T Wind crew was able to restore propulsion and steering and no casualties were reported. The M/T Wind continued its course on its own.
