The Swiss Federal Chancellor for Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Guy Parmelin, was received today by the Minister of Economy and National Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis.
The meeting discussed economic relations between the two countries and the investment opportunities that – as both sides found – the Greek economy offers today. Mr Hatzidakis referred in particular to the framework that applies to the promotion of strategic investments, the financing possibilities of the Recovery Fund and the area of activity that is being developed in the field of green economy and decarbonization.
The two ministers also discussed issues relating to Swiss companies, such as pharmaceutical companies that already operate in our country.
At the meeting, Switzerland’s relations with the European Union were analyzed and Mr. Parmelin emphasized his country’s interest in participating in the Horizonte and Erasmus+ programs.
Mr Hatzidakis and Mr Parmelin finally agreed to designate a point of contact for all matters relating to relations between the two ministries, the office of the Secretary-General for Economic Policy and Strategy, George Christopoulos.
